BECKENHAM PARK PLACE ROVERS

Affiliated to London Football Association

Beckenham Place Park Rovers Football is a football Project that provides sporting and social activities to children and young people in the borough of Lewisham and Downham areas.

The project provides a safe and positive alternative place to go other than playing in the street. It works with the local Police to combat social exclusion and reduce crime.

Formed under the umbrella of Children and Young Peoples Services, Catford, Founded by Hilary Ndukuba, it is hoped that as the boys progress through the age group, they will go to form an adult team on completion of the under 18.

The project now in its third year have decided to join the Bexley League so to offer the children and young people the opportunities to play competitive football. For the league season 2009/10 we will have under13s, under15s and under17s, and hope to enter under11s next season. We work to retaining our players as club members and developing their talent through appropriate coaching.

The club is open to all football loving children regardless of sex, religion, ethnic background and ability.

The club trains every Saturday from 10am to 13:30 at Beckenham Place Park, Old Bromley Road, BR1 4JY, while for official matches, our home ground is Ten-Em-Bee, Old Bromley Road and Rutland Walk Sport Ground, Rutland Walk, Catford SE6 4LG
